Dropbox + Webair AI
Search Dropbox, see recent files, and read document content — by texting Webair AI.
All connections happen inside the Webair AI app via Dropbox's official OAuth.
Why we built this
Why Webair AI uses Dropbox.
Your Dropbox becomes something you can just ask about. 'Find the signed Henderson contract', 'what changed in the pricing sheet last week?', 'summarize the onboarding doc' — Webair AI searches, reads, and answers in plain English.
Every file it reads for you can flow into your Company Brain as a cited source, so the answer next month doesn't even need the search.
How it works
Connecting Dropbox takes about a minute.
Step 01
Sign in to Webair AI
Create your Webair AI account at app.webair.ai (or log in if you already have one). All connections happen after you've authenticated — never from the marketing site.
Step 02
Authorize the connection
From your Webair AI dashboard, click Connect and sign in to the provider through their official OAuth flow. You see exactly which permissions are requested before granting access.
Step 03
Use it from iMessage or web
Text Webair AI from your phone or use the web app — every reply is informed by the connected account, and the relevant context is added to your private Company Brain.
What data we access
Every permission, in plain English.
These are the exact OAuth scopes Webair AI requests from Dropbox — and the reason we need each one. We follow the principle of least privilege: nothing extra, nothing optional that isn't surfaced to you.
files.metadata.readfiles.content.readWebair AI uses Dropbox's official OAuth flow. You see this exact list before you grant access — and you can revoke any time.
Data handling
How Dropbox data is stored and protected.
We treat connected-app data with the same posture as the rest of Webair AI: encrypted, scoped to your account, never sold, and never used to train public AI models.
- Read-only access with per-request size caps — no bulk download, no background sync of your whole Dropbox.
- Encrypted tokens, on-demand reads, never used to train public AI models. Disconnecting immediately revokes access.
How to disconnect Dropbox
In Dropbox: Settings → Connected apps → Webair AI → Disconnect. Inside Webair AI: Settings → Connections → Dropbox → Disconnect.
Open Dropbox's access management pageYou can also email support@webairai.com and we'll help you disconnect and delete any related data.
Dropbox integration · FAQ
No. The integration is read-only — it finds and reads files but never changes anything in your Dropbox.
It reads whatever your Dropbox account can access, including shared folders you're a member of.
